These Terms of Use define the rules for using Clike, the responsibility for published content and the terms applicable to all users. By using Clike, you agree to the terms described below.
1. Acceptance of the terms
By creating an account or using Clike, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the application. Clike is a bilingual social network built in Canada, designed to foster local connections and community life.
2. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or the minimum age required in your province. The information provided at registration (first name, last name, username, email) must be accurate. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password and for any activity from your account. An account is personal and must not be transferred to another person.
3. Rules of conduct
You agree to use Clike with respect and kindness. You agree not to: harass, bully or threaten anyone; post false, misleading or deceptive content; impersonate others; incite hatred or violence; spam or send unsolicited messages; attempt to access another user's account; use bots or scripts to manipulate the app. Clike encourages a calm, anti-toxicity community.
4. Responsibility for your content
You remain solely responsible for the content you publish on Clike (posts, photos, videos, Clips, Moments, comments, messages). By publishing, you declare that you hold the necessary rights to that content and authorize Clike to host, display and distribute it according to the chosen visibility. You warrant that your content does not infringe the rights of any third party (copyright, privacy, image rights). Clike is not the publisher of your content and disclaims any liability for it.
5. Prohibited content
Strictly prohibited on Clike: violent, sexually explicit content or content involving minors; incitement to hatred or discrimination; targeted harassment; harmful misinformation; promotion of illegal activities (drugs, weapons, fraud); sharing private contact details without consent; content infringing a third party's intellectual property. Clike may remove any offending content without notice.
6. Moderation and sanctions
Clike applies automatic moderation (text and image analysis before publishing) and human moderation. In case of a violation, Clike may: hide content, limit certain features, temporarily or permanently suspend an account. Reports are reviewed in order of priority. You can appeal a moderation decision by contacting the team (see contact details below).
7. Intellectual property
Clike, its name, logo and distinctive elements are the property of Clike. You must not copy, imitate or use them without authorization. Music added to Clips comes from Epidemic Sound: you comply with the terms of that license and may not extract or reuse the music outside Clike. Other users' content remains their property: you may not copy, download or redistribute it without their consent, unless the author has enabled downloads.
8. Limitation of liability
Clike is provided "as is", without warranty as to availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Clike shall not be liable for indirect damages resulting from the use of the application or the inability to access it. Clike is not responsible for content published by users or for interactions between users. Clike's liability is limited to the maximum permitted by applicable law.
9. Changes to the terms
Clike may update these Terms of Use at any time. In case of a material change, users are informed in the app. The current version is always the one published at this address. Continued use of Clike after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
